Connecting the dots (English Training)

In life, we have been through a fun or unpleasant event in which they have many roles in forming who we are today and delivering meaningful memories that are not easy to forget. Many of the moments that occur are not based on our plans, but they happen spontaneously and we do not expect to happen. Sometimes we also feel that many of the moments that occur are very unimportant and we want to forget it.

Have you ever felt very lucky to meet someone in your life ?. or have you ever hate someone until it made you wanted to turn back the time to forget that person?

But do we realize that the events/meetings that we have passed become a dot in our life. If our life is like a paper, then the paper may have been full of dots we've ever been through whether it a small dot or a big dot. Because without us knowing it, those moments (dots) are what brings us to who we are now. By connecting the dots that existed in the past we finally understand what happens now it is a result of the moment that occurred in the past or called Butterfly effects. I will explain about butterfly effects in another post.

        

         Without us knowing everything that happened in the past is a connecting dots in our success. For example when we faced a big decision whether it is a job or college after high school graduation or a breakup or continue a relationship. Our choice in that moment will determine our connecting dots for our success. For example when you prefer to get a job than college, maybe you have become an experienced worker than a fresh graduate college student, or if you prefer college than a job maybe your chance to have a higher career becomes greater. When you decide to break up your relationship, then your decision is to make you a motivated person and has a good achievement, or if you prefer to continue a relationship maybe today you have married your girlfriend/boyfriend. But no one knows exactly what will happen after we make a decision because every decision we had made that will connect our dots to our success in the future. So take your time to think and pray before making the best decision.

You can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backward. so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. - Steve Jobs.

As mentioned by om Steve Jobs we just can connect the dots by looking backward we cant connect the dots if we looking forwards. So we just need to have a trust that the dots will somehow connect in the future by workhard and keep persevere in every decision we have taken.

Therefore in this life we must have a clear target so that we can make our own dots, even one day our dots will become a masterpiece that is truly priceless.

Let's look at the story of a person I really admire is Prof. BJ. Habibie, he from a child has only one dream, he never dreamed become a minister or a president in indonesia. His success is just came from a one big dream to make his own airplane for the loved country indonesia. It turned out that only with the dream he could not only create an airplane but he becomes the third president of Republic Indonesia. He never thought that the dots that happened in his life is connects him to become a president. He only focuses on the original goal, which in the process turns the dots to the extraordinary things of his life. From the story of BJ Habibie we can conclude that our plan is not the best plan, because the human plan will never be better than the Plan of ALLAH, SWT. So we as human beings just have to be confident with what we do and let god do the rest.

Many things have an impact on me, one of my biggest dots in my life is when I study in MAN 1 Pekanbaru and meets Cendikers and others friend such as Iqbal, although now we are not so close but he let me see the world with another prespective, from the weird hobbies and his courage to do something new and take the chances made me motivated and be more confident to make a start. Maybe someday it will brings me to success.
